Using copper plates you will be shown how to express images through different techniques. Copper etching is the most sensitive way to express line work,  from the lightest touch to the strongest gesture. You will develop your image through different stages on this 3-day taster course and come out with a handful of prints.

In these  3 days workshops, participants will learn the principles of etching, its instruments and methods. Participants will learn how to prepare the plate, draw in metal, etch the plate, ink it and print an edition on paper under professional guidelines, tools and equipment.

Participants will have access to professional tools, colours and equipment for further independent practice. Professional printmakers and artists can use the time to explore the technique at its most and are able to produce editions on paper during the workshop time, with or without professional guidance.

Etching workshop is limited to 5 people at the time and is tailored according to the participant’s level of knowledge in printmaking. Preference will be given by order of registering.
